PORTRAITS

The human figure has always been a fascinating subject for artists. 

Today, through to photography, it is possible to capture an image of people at every stage of their life, however, until its diffusion in the 20th century, it was common to paint commissioned portraits in order to celebrate famous and non-famous people and to create a memory over time, almost a wish to immortality.
